Evaluation Of Aftertreatments For Reusing Reactive Dyes

چکیده
The use of reactive dyes has increased rapidly due to outstanding properties, growing consumption of cellulosic fibers, and decrease in the production of other application classes of dyes for cellulosics because of cost and health hazards. However, reactive dyes cause the greatest effluent problems for the dye industry. This study explored reusing these dyes in which the residual dyeings were done using application procedures and aftertreatments suitable for direct dyes, rather than conventional methods for applying reactive dyes. Both exhaust and pad application procedures for reusing the reactive dyes were investigated. The residual or laboratory-hydrolyzed reactives were applied using procedures for direct dyes, then aftertreated with fixing agents. The depth of shade and colorfastness to washing and light of the dyes and aftertreated specimens were then

Photocatalytic application of TiO2/SiO2-based magnetic nanocomposite (Fe3O4@SiO2/TiO2) for reusing of textile wastewater
In this research we have developed a treatment method for textile wastewater by TiO2/SiO2-based magnetic nanocomposite. Textile wastewater includes a large variety of dyes and chemicals and needs treatments. This manuscript presents a facile method for removing dyes from the textile wastewater by using TiO2/SiO2-based nanocomposite (Fe3O<su...

Anionic reactive dyes used to dye nylon suffer from failures due to the poor efficiency caused by low degree of exhaustion and fixation. From the previous work , the dyeing efficiency of Procion Rubine XL on modified nylon was particularly week and hence offers the widest scope for an in depth investigation in to variables that effect the dyeing process. The variables dyeing studies for this pr...
متن کاملUse of Heavy Metals in Textile Wet Processing
The currently recommended concentrations of aftertreatments containing heavy metals often prevent a textile finisher from meeting effluent discharge regulations. This study involved optimizing the application procedures and concentrations of copper sulfate for copperizing direct dyes on cotton and of tartar emetic (potassium antimony tartrate) for insolubulizing tannic acid on dyed nylon. The r...
متن کاملAn Improvement in Fluorocarbon Chain Re-orientation by Reactive Dyes
There is an increasing demand for air-dry performance of fluorocarbon finished materials. Thus, dyeing with different types of reactive, mono, bi, and multi-functional, dyes was evaluated as a novel treatment to create correct surface interface to maintain fluorocarbon performance without ironing or tumble drying. The effects of pre-treatment on fluorocarbon finishing of cotton fabric, a cellul...
